Inter-religious Pledge

We, the students of ………………………………………………recognise that the essence of all religions is love, service, peace and harmony.

We believe that recognition of the indwelling Supreme Being in each human being and in all forms of life will lead us to mutual respect and a life in harmony with all beings.

We also believe that respect for and appreciation of the teachings of scriptures of all religions will lead us to mutual acceptance of the other and help us to live together in love and service, peace and harmony.

We will participate in inter-religious prayer meetings and celebration of festivals in collaboration with members of different religions to foster greater understanding and togetherness.

We also strive to bring reconciliation and harmony in the context of violence in the name of religions.

To this purpose we commit ourselves, networking with individuals, schools, institutions and organisations towards creating a just and humane society.
